VALES POINT POWER STATION
SEA GRASS MONITORING
SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATION
The following summary indicates the general nature of the Works for which The Principal desires Tenders to be submitted and is issued to enable Contractors to make an assessment whether the Specification documents should be obtained from The Principal for the purpose of submitting a tender response. It does not form part of the Specification and should not be included as part of the Tenderer's offer.
PURPOSE OF WORK
The works required under this contract will cover the Sea Grass Monitoring for Vales Point Power Station for a period of two (2) years.
Upon Practical Completion within this agreement and a review of the Contractor’s performance, an agreement may be negotiated for a further term, at the discretion of The Principal.
LOCATION OF SITE
The Vales Point Power Station is located on the southern shore of Lake Macquarie, approximately 130 km north of Sydney, New South Wales, and approximately 3 km off the Pacific Highway North of Doyalson.
EXTENT OF WORK
The Contractor must deliver the following items in compliance with Special Condition E2 of the Vales Point Power Station Environment Protection Licence:
a) Monitoring water temperature (continuous), for a two (2) year period.
b) Mapping the distribution of seagrasses annually using aerial photography for a two (2) year period.
c) Quantitative assessment of seagrass, for a two (2) year period.
d) Quantification of the nature and extent of any recorded changes in annual seagrass mapping, for a two (2) year period.
e) Field surveillance of seagrass, for a two (2) year period (six separate field trips).
f) Annual reporting on the data, analysis and conclusions in accordance with EPL761 requirements, for a two (2) year period.
g) Report on ameliorative management actions and/or offset measures (if required), for a two (2) year period.
INSPECTION OF SITE
No Pre-Tender meeting has been scheduled for these services.
Visitors to the Site must provide and wear their own safety hats, safety footwear, protective safety eyewear (clear glasses), long sleeved shirts (hi-vis) and long trousers or combination overalls (hi-vis).
The commercial conditions will be in accordance with the Conditions of Quoting and Conditions of Order. These documents can be found under the Delta Electricity Website.

TENDER CLOSING DATE
Tenders will close at 1.00pm on Tuesday the 1st October 2019 at Vales Point Power Station. All tender documentation to be completed and forwarded electronically to email@example.com by the closing time and date.
