VALES POINT POWER STATION

PAINTING AND GRIT BLASTING

SUMMARY OF SPECIFICATION

The following summary indicates the general nature of the Works for which the Principal desires Tenders to be submitted and is issued to enable Contractors to make an assessment whether the Specification documents should be obtained from The Principal for the purpose of submitting a tender response. It does not form part of the Specification and should not be included as part of the Tenderer's offer.

PURPOSE OF WORK

The works required under this Contract will cover painting and grit blasting services at Vales Point Power Station for a period of two (2) years.

LOCATION OF SITE

The Vales Point Power Station is located on the southern shore of Lake Macquarie, approximately 130 km north of Sydney, New South Wales, and approximately 3 km off the Pacific Highway North of Doyalson.

EXTENT OF WORK

a) The extent of the work is for on-site and off-site surface preparation and coating applications at Vales Point Power Station including but not limited to:
(i) General painting applications, grit blasting, encapsulation, fume and dust control; and
(ii) specialist painting such as:
(A) Concrete coatings;
(B) Metal spraying;
(C) Ceramic coatings;
(D) Fiberglass coatings; and
(E) Jotamastic S90.
b) Certificate 4 qualified industrial painters are required, and the Contractor must be accredited to the Painting Contractor Certification Program (PCCP).
c) Substantial packages of work during annual shutdowns may be issued to the Contractor. Examples of these packages of work include:
(i) encapsulation, grit blasting, and metal spraying of the boiler nose tubes;
(ii) encapsulation, grit blasting, and recoating sections of the boiler ash hoppers;
(iii) encapsulation and grit blast cleaning of PA fan impellers; and
(iv) encapsulation and grit blasting of belt duct attachments to the furnace walls.

INSPECTION OF SITE

There is no Pretender Meeting scheduled for this works.

Visitors to the Site must provide and wear their own safety hats, safety footwear, protective safety eyewear (clear glasses), long sleeved shirts (hi-vis) and long trousers or combination overalls (hi-vis).

Proof of identity will be required prior to entry.

By using the Objective Connect workspace for drawings you agree to Delta Electricity’s  Intellectual Property Rights which means Delta Electricity shall own all intellectual property, including technical information, know-how, copyrights, models, drawings, specifications, manuals, reports, prototypes, inventions and software developed by the Contractor in performance of the works within the specification.
