Contracts Register

The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW) commenced on 1 July 2010. The Act requires Delta Electricity to publish certain information about the contracts it enters into with the private sector in a Contracts Register. This is unless those contracts have been exempted from disclosure under the terms of the Act, which acknowledges that a government enterprise, such as Delta Electricity may enter into commercially confidential arrangements.

Delta is yet to enter into a contract that would be required to be disclosed on a Contracts Register. As and when such contracts are entered into, they will be placed on a register which will be accessible from this page.

Note that Delta Electricity is a State Owned Corporation that operates in the competitive National Electricity Market.  As such, it is entitled to a number of wide-ranging exemptions from the requirement to disclose information in the Contracts Register by operation of the Act. Nevertheless, some information regarding contracts is published in the Results section of this website.  Interested persons are encouraged to regularly review the Results section for updates on our contracting activities.
