Sustainability aims to balance the environmental, economic, social and corporate governance needs of the business with a view to understanding and protecting the potential needs of future generations.
In 2005, Delta Electricity became a signatory to the Energy Supply Association of Australia(esaa) Code of Sustainable Practice.
In supporting the industry code, Delta has undertaken to adopt sustainability as a business philosophy and to develop policies and employ practices that ensure its power generation business is sustainable.
A Sustainability Policy was approved in September 2006 and a first Sustainability Report was prepared in 2006.
