As a major electricity generator in NSW, operating and maintaining four coal fired power stations, Delta Electricity has long recognised the importance of providing clear and accurate assessment of our environmental performance.
In 1999, we produced our first Environment Report. This report covered the period since Delta's formation in 1996 through to mid 1999. This was supplemented by annual Environment Reviews in 1999/2000 and 2000/01. A comprehensive Environment Report was again prepared in 2001/02.
In 2003, it was decided that detail about environmental performance should be incorporated into the Annual Report. This was in line with the trend for triple bottom line reporting which presents a comprehensive view of the outcomes and impacts of a business.
In 2006, it is was decided to once again prepare two reports - an Annual Financial Performance report consistent with prepared to meet the requirements of the Annual Report (Statutory Bodies) Regulation 2005 and a Sustainability Report.
