ESAA The Electricity Supply Association of Australia is a national body representing members involved in generation, transmission, distribution and retailing of electricity in Australia.
ORER Office of Renewable Energy Regulator. A Commonwealth body, which manages the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000 and the registering and transfering of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).
ACCC Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. An independent authority that administers the Trade Practices Act.
IPART An independent body that oversees electricity regulation in NSW, administers the licensing of electricity businesses and monitors compliance with licence conditions.
TRANSGRID Manages the NSW Electricity high voltage network.
ENERGY INDUSTRY OMBUDSMAN NSW Provides independent dispute resolution for NSW electricity customers.
ASIC The Australian Securities and Investments Commission. A Federal body responsible for the administration of the Corporations Act.
DEUS The Department of Energy Utilities and Sustainability administers a number of NSW Acts which regulate electricity supply matters in NSW, including the Electricity Supply Act, Electricity Safety Act and Energy Administration Act.
NET The National Electricity Tribunal was established under the National Electricity Law and hears and determine applications by NECA that Code Participants have breached the code.
