DSTA recieved a request for total expenditure on advertising for 2009/2010 by the NSW Government and total campaign expenditure for last quarter 1 April 2010 to 30 June 2010 by the NSW Government. Delta Electricity expenditure of $21,365 on advertising (tenders, quotations and positions vacant) was included in the overall report.

Seven Network Operations

Seven Network Operations was seeking to access Delta Electricity’s documents relating to the extent and value of any subsidies or discounts on electricity bills provided for (a) management and (b) staff.
Delta Electricity does not supply electricity or electricity to its employees. Each employee is responsible for arranging their own electricity purchase arrangement through their retailer of choice.
Delta Electricity does allow its employees to salary sacrifice their electricity purchase costs (if they elect to) as an “in house fringe benefit” up to a maximum limit determined by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) in accordance with Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) legislation.
Delta Electricity incurs no cost from this arrangement.

Seven Network Operations

Seven Network Operations was seeking access to the following Delta Electricity documents: domestic travel, international travel, accommodation, entertainment including food and alcohol, and any wrongly claimed expenses and repayments made by any board member and/or senior management.
The information provided was a compilation of expense claims by the Management Board for periods 2008/2009, 2009/2010 and 2010/2011.
In relation to wrongly claimed expenses and repayments, there were no wrongly claimed expenses and repayments by any board member and/or senior management during the last three years.
Information on travel for overseas visits by Delta Directors and Officers are detailed in Delta’s annual report (refer table 9, page 28 of Delta’s 2010 Annual Report). The information is available from Delta through the Right to Information Officer.
