Munmorah Power Station Monitoring Data

Munmorah Power Station is power plant located near Lake Macquarie on the NSW Central Coast. The station was officially closed in July 2012 and has since been decommissioned.

A closure plan for the site was prepared and submitted to the Environment Protection Authority in 2014 and a new Environmental Protection Licence issued in January 2015 to manage and monitor miscellaneous water discharges.

The Munmorah Environmental Protection Licence No 759 identifies what Delta Electricity is required to monitor and the levels tied to those emissions.

Following the sale of Vales Point Power Station in December 2015 to Sunset Power, Munmorah remains in Government ownership.

Monitoring data after from December 2015 can be found on the Delta Electricity website here. The station’s Pollution Incident Response Management Plan can be found on the same website.
