Sponsorship and donation requests are assessed according to certain criteria in the policy. In general terms, requests which have a broad community appeal or support are more favourably considered.

If you wish to make a donation or sponsorship request to Delta Electricity the following outline may help you:

• The planning process for sponsorships is conducted in the early part of each year with a sponsorship program developed for the next 12 month period from July to June
• This process includes input from staff, community groups and the general community and helps us decide where the greatest benefit will be.
• We are rarely able to meet requests for sponsorship outside this process.
• Sponsorship requests are more successful when they demonstrate a strong community benefit and assist Delta meet its key goals in the community.

Please provide specific information on the organisation or event to be sponsored including:

• Contact details
• Description of organisation/event and activities
• Members of committee (if applicable)
• Geographic area organisation works in
• Exact details of area to be sponsored
• Details of how sponsorship funds will be used / spent
• Community beneficiaries – who, where, number of participants
• Area of organisation’s focus – ie youth, environment, education
• Level of funding required
• Sources of other funding
• Timing and term of sponsorship
• Benefits to Delta (if any)
• Addressing these areas will help us assess your request.
