Energy Expo & Mt Piper Tours

The Energy Expo at Mount Piper Power Station is open to visitors every day (except Christmas Day) from 9am to 4pm. It contains displays, models, exhibits, printed and photographic information, touch screens and videos to give the visitor all the information on how electricity is produced and distributed.

Although dealing mainly with coal-fired thermal power stations such as Delta’s Mt Piper and Wallerawang power stations, there is also information on renewable energy sources and developments. The facility includes picnic areas, electric barbeques, a children’s playground and toilets.

Visits to the Energy Expo and tours of the power station are free of charge. Note that people touring the plant are not allowed to take photographs, or to carry cameras or bags.

If you wish to book a tour of the Mt Piper Power Station please click on the Visitor Information. Bookings for groups are essential.
